Who are you running against?

There are multiple candidates for the two open seats. Who are you running against?

I am not running against anybody. Leigh Emery and Bruce Tretter both have a record of dedication and service to our town. I am running for Westborough. I see areas and ways in which the Board of Selectmen, as the Executive Branch of our town government, can better lead on near-term and long term issues. Some of these areas include:

• Improving communication and citizen engagement
• Managing short-term and long-term debt
• Attracting more local businesses to our downtown district
• Finding ways to improve traffic, particularly around the rotary and connecting streets
• Expanding the commercial tax base through better utilization and/or redevelopment of specific commercially zoned areas
• Exploring how we might better manage General Fund Certified Free Cash to mitigate the impact of tax increases in years where the levy increases significantly more than average

As a resident and a business owner in town, I believe my experience and expertise can help these efforts.
