The cost of running the town will continue to increase, so taxes will continue to go up. I think that the better questions to ask are "What can we do to make our town more affordable?" and "How do we know we are spending wisely and operating efficiently?"

While lowering taxes may not be possible, I see ways we may be able to mitigate tax increases and improve the affordability of Westborough.

Taxes. Affordability. These represent the concern I hear most frequently from fellow residents. While we may not be able to keep taxes from going up over time, I have ideas on how we can better manage our tax base to improve affordability.

Traffic can be like the weather: hard to predict; everybody complains about it; and nobody does anything to fix it. Thinking about the traffic issues facing Westborough, I started poking around to find out what’s up.

If we are going to manage our tax levy, we need to actively and aggressively pursue regional, state, and federal funding for projects that would otherwise land on our budget.

Other then my participation on the recent Charter Review Committee, I have not served on other Town boards and commissions. I do, however, have experience and expertise that can be valuable to the town.
